19 Days China Culture and Nature Tour

Arrive at the airport of Beijing. Your private local guide will greet you at the arrival hall and transfer you to your hotel in downtown Beijing. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or explore China's royal capital on your own.

Start with Tiananmen Square, the largest city square in the world. Continue to the Forbidden City, the legendary imperial palace complex in the heart of Beijing. Later, visit the Temple of Heaven, where ancient emperors prayed for good harvests.

Kind Reminder: The Forbidden City closes on Mondays. Your tour consultant will help adjust the itinerary if needed.

Take a private excursion to the Great Wall at Mutianyu, one of the most scenic and best-preserved sections of the wall. Spend time walking along the towers and enjoying mountain views. Return to the city and meander through Beijing hutongs for a glimpse of traditional local life.

After breakfast, visit the Summer Palace, the Qing emperors' favorite summer retreat and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After lunch, take a high-speed train from Beijing to Xian. Upon arrival, meet your local guide and transfer to your hotel.

Visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. Return downtown to visit the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, then stroll around the lively Muslim Quarter and view the Bell Tower and Drum Tower.

Visit the Ancient City Wall of Xian, one of the best-preserved city walls in China. You may enjoy an optional bike ride on the wall. Later, fly to Shanghai and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to enjoy the city.

Enjoy a Shanghai city tour including the Oriental Pearl Tower area, Yu Garden, the Bund and Nanjing Road. You will see both the city's traditional charm and its modern skyline. Optional evening activities such as an acrobatics show can be arranged.
